Well, last week was our first full week home as a family! Luckily, Daddy was off work until Thursday. It turned out to be a pretty busy week. Emerson had to be taken for blood work every morning and we didn't want Ava to miss any of her classes. Here are the pictures from last week. Enjoy!
Tuesday, January 22:
Mommy took Ava to Art Class while Daddy stayed home with Eme. This week we learned about rain and we also played dress up. One of Ava's new favorite things is butterflies. She liked dressing up like a butterfly!
That night Daddy had school so it was Mommy's first time home with both of the girls! They were very good. Mommy felt bad that Eme had to spend all day in her pack 'n' play to be on her special blanket so Mommy moved it to Mommy and Daddy's bed when she was awake. She seemed much happier!
Ava decided to come spend some time with her too! Here she is talking to her.
Ava showed Eme one of her favorite toys when she was just a little baby. Eme was very interested in the stars and Ava loved showing them to her!

Wednesday, January 23:
Daddy got to go to Gymboree today! Here is a picture of him and Ava doing "The Grand 'ol Duke of York"!
That night, Ava had Gymnastics. She is getting really good. Here is Daddy helping her do a handstand! She can almost walk up the wall all by her self. Here she is doing her "bar routine".
Now for the balance beam! She finishes off with some fun in the pit! Eme had a great time watching Ava during her gymnastics class...Eme enjoys sitting on her Boppy and watching TV...just like her big sister!Daddy and Eme cuddling! Thursday, January 24:
Ava had some important calls to make Thursday night on our way home from Gymnastics (we had a make-up from when Mommy was in the hospital). Here she is borrowing Mommy's cell phone.

She also had some people to text.

Friday, January 25:

This is where Eme sits when the rest of the family is having a meal. She really likes it!

Saturday, January 26:

Ava had swim lessons Saturday morning. Here is a picture of Ava and Daddy waiting until it's time to get in the pool!

Here she is jumping in. What a ham!

Eme was thrilled to be watching Ava during swim lessons too!

Sunday, January 27:

Bath night for Miss Ava!

During Ava's bath Eme watched a Baby Einstein DVD. She is already very into watching things!
Here are some "jammie" pictures of the girls! Uh oh...what did Ava do?Ava tickling Eme's head...?Monday, January 28:

Bath night for Miss Eme! This is her first bath! She didn't shed one tear...she just laid back and enjoyed it. She's such an easy going baby! Well, after the bath she wasn't exactly thrilled to be cold!

Well, I hope you enjoyed the pictures. I will try to update again next week! Take care!

Yeah! The next set of pictures are finally updated. This batch contains Emerson's big blog debut! These pictures start from Wednesday, January 8 and go through Monday, January 21. I have more recent pictures that I will try to add this week too! Enjoy!
Wednesday, January 8:
Here is Ava at Gymnastics. She loves jumping in the pit. This picture makes her look evil!
Thursday, January 10:
Here is Ava playing doctor to her sick baby! Maybe she will be a pediatrician someday!

Friday, January 11:

On Friday, mommy went to the hospital because she was having contractions. She ended up being there from Friday afternoon to Saturday. The contractions stopped and she was dialated to between a 4 and a 5 and had to go home! On Friday night Ava went to Mimi and Papa's for a little big and played with Camden. Here are the pictures that Aunt Kasie took of them!

Saturday, January 12:

When we got home from the hospital Ava watched a movie in Mommy and Daddy's bed. She looks like such a big girl with her legs crossed! Sunday, January 13:

Ava decided to play with the toilet paper. She just loves wasting things like toilet paper, diaper wipes and q-tips!

Monday, January 14:

Here is Ava's Pudding Smile!

Wednesday, January 16:

Mommy started having strong contractions Tuesday night around 10:30 (after having Rattlesnake Bites at Texas Roadhouse and walking at Target with Cassandra for about an hour!). We got to the hospital around 11:30. Emerson Jade was born at 4:24am. She weighed 6lbs. 14oz. and was 19.5 inches long. Mommy, Daddy, Big Sister Ava, Grandma Harless, Grandma Roberson, and Mimi were all there to greet her!

She had everyone fooled! At my last ultrasound they said she weighed 7lbs. 2oz. (at 35 weeks)! We determined her head measurements were throwing it off!

Here is the first time Ava got to hold her new baby sister! She was so excited to see her!

What a sweet baby!

Thursday, January 17:

Daddy and Ava check on Baby Eme!

Ava spent quite a bit of time at the hospital with us...even spending both nights there. She was such a good girl!

Here is the outfit that Eme got her newborn pictures taken in.

It was also her going home outfit!

We got to leave the hospital the day after she was born (it was Mommy's request). Mommy was feeling good and Emerson was doing great. Mommy just wanted to get home and be able to take care of her girls! Here is Eme before leaving the hospital.

This is Eme's first night at home in her bassinet.

Saturday, January 19:

In the morning we had to take Emerson for some blood work. After that we went straight to Miss Ava's swim lessons. It's a new session so it's been awhile since she has been. She couldn't have been happier to be back in the water. She does very good now. She moves her arms, kicks her legs, blows bubbles, LOVES going under and jumps in!

That afternoon Aunt Kasie and Uncle Justin came over so Uncle Justin could meet Baby Eme. He spent most of his time playing Soccer with Ava though! Here is a picture of Aunt Kasie and Eme!

Ava loves holding Eme. Here is Ava honking her nose! Poor baby!

A Pacifier Kiss!

Sunday, January 20:

Here is Ava playing blocks in her room! She loves building things!

Here she is jumping on her bed...which Daddy taught her!Putting the blocks away...Mommy has taught her well. She is very good at separating them into the right bins too! Here is Eme in her basket!Sunday, January 21:

Sunday evening we got a call that Emerson's jaundice levels were getting too high so the hospital staff had to bring us a special light that she had to lay on. You can't see it in the picture but it lights her up like a Glo-worm!

Well, we hope you enjoyed the pictures!

Love,

Grant, Christin, Avalynn & Emerson
